Yes!!! EMDR was actually created by someone going for a walk. Then they realized they were scanning the ground with their eyes, moving their arms back and forth….which ALL moves the brain back and forth. Back and forth. It helps us keep out of our stress mode in the back of our Brian! Then if you add bilateral music…and your body will feel SOOOO good!! I love the app…MindSpa too! It’s bilateral meditation with sounds/music! It’s pretty cool! So glad you are getting to heal by just going for a walk and listening to music!!! 🎵
So interesting!!! I’ll have to download that app. Love all this info! I need to be walking more, but our new puppy is taking a dent in my “me” time. My daughter asked to go for a walk listening to music the other day too…I love that she found it soothing as well!
I love this! My therapist just mentioned listening to EMDR music while walking can help process reoccurring memories! Music really is medicine! 💜
